What Being A Global Payroll Implementation & Operations Associate At Playroll Entails
Playroll is looking for an implementation-minded Global Payroll Implementation & Operations Associate to join the Global Payroll team as we scale our fully managed Global Payroll solution. You'll help new clients and entities move from signed to live by scoping requirements, building payroll calendars and data mappings, coordinating in-country providers, and running dry-run cycles before launch.

Alongside implementation, you'll run live monthly payroll cycles for entities already on the product, building the ground truth that makes each implementation stronger. This is a broad, flexible role in a new function, with room to document, improve and automate the way Global Payroll Operations works as the product matures.

• Own client and entity implementations from signed to live, including requirements, calendars, data mappings and cut-off schedules.
• Run each implementation against a clear plan, tracking milestones, dependencies, blockers and owners.
• Prove readiness before go-live through dry-run and parallel cycles, reconciliations and launch decisions.
• Act as the day-to-day bridge between clients, providers, internal payroll teams and the Playroll platform.
• Run end-to-end monthly payroll cycles for a portfolio of live client entities.
• Reconcile payroll inputs and provider registers, spotting variances and driving issues to resolution.
• Keep clients and providers moving with clear, timely and professional communication.
• Document implementation learnings into repeatable playbooks and maintain the team’s single source of truth.
• Identify manual bottlenecks and help design and test low-code and AI-supported workflows.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in implementation, onboarding, project delivery, client coordination, payroll or similar.
• Ability to sequence work, track dependencies and understand what is blocked and who owns it.
• Relentless attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to managing many moving parts.
• Confidence working with data, spreadsheets, mapping, reconciliations and spotting when something looks wrong.
• Strong written communication, able to keep clients, providers and internal teams clearly aligned.
• Adaptable, self-starting mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and energised by building something new.

• Prior experience implementing or onboarding clients onto payroll, HR, finance or similar operational platforms.
• Prior experience in payroll, HRTech, fintech or a fast-growing startup.
• Exposure to workflow automation tools such as n8n, Zapier or Make.
• Strength in Google Workspace and spreadsheets, or light scripting in JavaScript or Python.
• Experience coordinating third-party vendors or providers across multiple countries.
