This isn't a performance marketing role. It's a paid ABM role with sharp teeth, focused on named-account execution across channels rather than broad demand gen wrapped in ABM language. You won't have a team or an agency. You'll have a VP who works in the numbers with you, a growth engineer who builds what you design, a Clay seat, a Claude subscription, and a budget that expands when you prove it should. We're going up against category leaders with 10x our budget and still taking share through sharper targeting, better tooling, and a refusal to play their game. You'll be the first dedicated paid hire, working closely with product marketing, rev-ops, and growth. No team for 6–12 months. Just you, the systems you build, and the outcomes you drive. If you need a large team to be effective, this isn't the role.
What You'll Do
- Own ABM-led paid campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, programmatic, affiliate, retargeting, G2, and Capterra targeting named accounts.
- Build account-level attribution inside HubSpot and Salesforce focused on pipeline influence instead of MQL reporting.
- Partner with growth engineers to launch AI agents, enrichment workflows, and LLM-assisted creative production pipelines.
- Activate direct media buyouts with publishers, newsletters, and intent platforms targeting specific account lists.
- Launch personalized landing pages, microsites, and 1:few ABM experiences shipped in days, not months.
- Brief SDRs on engaged accounts showing intent signals, warming activity, and increased buying interest.
- Experiment with any legal, on-brand tactic capable of moving target accounts through the pipeline.
- Optimise performance by killing underperforming campaigns within 14 days and shipping weekly experiments.
- Audit existing paid activity within 90 days and eliminate at least 30% of ineffective spend.
- Deliver a trusted executive view of paid-influenced pipeline across a named 500-account ABM motion.
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years in B2B paid marketing, ideally within SaaS environments.
- Experienced in real ABM, including named lists, orchestration, SDR handoff, and account-level reporting.
- Uses Claude or similar LLMs daily to build workflows, not just generate copy.
- Technical enough to brief growth engineers and understand implementation outputs confidently.
- Comfortable owning pipeline numbers independently without relying on large supporting teams.
- Strong opinions on where challenger brands should compete and where they should avoid.
- Thinks beyond paid media and uses any channel necessary to move target accounts.
- Fluent with data tools like Clay, Apollo, ZoomInfo, or custom-built workflows.
- Has launched unconventional campaigns that impressed leadership with creativity and execution.
- Ambitious to grow into a Director of Digital role within 18–24 months.
